About Of One.
Of One is a method for hard decisions, published by Utlyze and open source under the MIT License. It rests on one belief: underneath every field, a decision has the same shape.
The premise
Markets, medicine, law, engineering, a family budget: the words change, but the same few things are always there. Someone decides. They want an outcome. Some facts hold. Some limits will not move, and some levers will. Causes connect them, proof tells you it worked, and time runs. Of One treats that as the skeleton of any situation, and each field as a dialect of one geometry.
If the skeleton is the same, so are the gaps. Name them and they become your next questions. Answer them and they become terrain. That terrain shows the safe way through, and the strong one.
Why it matters for AI
An AI that knows a little about everything still needs a frame to hang it on. Given Of One, it has to build the map first: show its sources, name what it does not know, ask the question worth the most, and stop at the gates where a person signs. The method is built to find the move the evidence best supports on the criteria you set, and to say plainly what is still unknown.
Who makes it
Of One is published by Utlyze, which builds AI-first systems with businesses and teaches them to run those systems. Business of One (businessofone.ai) and its sister sites are Utlyze sites built on this method. The code lives at github.com/CryptoJym/ofone-skillchain.
Where it stands
The method is working software: schemas, a validator, a renderer, a patch tool and a question engine. What it has not done yet is prove it beats other approaches. At the current freeze, 52 of 90 predeclared benchmark runs were completed and locally reviewed, no performance or superiority claim is supported, and the project’s own checks excluded its first full-method runs. We would rather show that than claim a win we have not earned.
It is not for simple factual questions, for urgent calls where mapping costs more than acting, or for legal, medical, safety or financial advice without a human review.
